welcome to texas

i live in texas now, it is much different than colorado
in colorado i was actually pretty tan and about average weight, but here in texas i am skinny and pale.
i have also never felt so much racism towards me. yes, for being white.
today i ate two spicy peanuts, a mexican thing, and went "ouch, i ate two at once" then val said "god you're white."
what
everything here has the texas flag on it. also, after the pledge of allegiance, there is a pledge to the texas flag.
thinking about where i am: in colorado, we joke about hillbillies and southerners. in texas, i live among them.
i am enjoying not using capitalization. the shift key is a pain.
